More and more middle-market private equity GPs feel frustrated with the traditional fund-raising process.

As an alternative, they’re reinventing their relationships with LPs and non LP investors by turning to them for co-investment capital on a deal-by-deal basis to supplement their fund capital.

Some GPs are even structuring co-investment opportunities for non-LPs as well.

Among the benefits of using this alternative funding model, GPs are --

  • Targeting larger investments than their fund resources would otherwise allow, thereby potentially earning greater rewards.
  • Extending the lives of their existing fund resources, thereby spending less time on fund-raising.
  • Improving their economics because carried interest accrues deal-by-deal -- i.e., there’s no netting of gains or losses as with a traditional fund.

Here Are Three
Reasons Why You Should Join Us

  1. Learn how to structure transaction fees, monitoring fees, management fees, and carried interest with non-LPs to create alignment of interests and reap greater rewards for successful investment.
  2. Hear about issues (and pitfalls) facing the co-investment process, e.g., how do investors mitigate adverse selection issues?  What are key mistakes investors can make in evaluating co-investment deals?
  3. See how other GPs have used this model to execute on deals much larger than their fund size would otherwise allow.

Chris Frigon & 20 Other Experienced Co-Investing Pros
Focus on What You Need to Know

Twenty GPs, LPs, and other experienced co-investing professionals will explain the dynamics of these deals, from the economics to the execution. This is information you can’t find anywhere else, and The Capital Roundtable expertly delivers it in one whole fact-filled day.

Our chairman, Chris Frigon, director of private equity at The Family Office, a multi-family investment firm based in Bahrain. He has over 24 years of principal investing experience with such firms as Morgan Stanley, Investcorp, McCown DeLeeuw, and LNK Partners.

Prior to joining The Family Office, Chris was a principal with Silverfern Co-Investment Partners (SCIP) Capital Management where he was responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing private equity co-investments with middle-market sponsors. He earned a BA in economics and computer applications from Notre Dame, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Register Now to Hear All the Benefits Of Middle-Market Co-Investing Deals

This conference will cover such topics as --

  • Why is non-LP co-investment capital in private equity a rapidly expanding trend among middle-market PE firms, and why should it continue to show growth through 2016?
  • What do the most recent statistics say about the performance of co-investment deals?
  • When can a GP offer co-investments to non-LPs who are willing to have carried interest fee structures in the deal?
  • Is a GP typically obliged to show co-investment opportunities to LPs?
  • What is the right language you need to have in your LPA to offer co-investments to non-LP family office investors?
  • What are typical fee structures for co-investments?
  • What are the most common ways for non-LPs to source co-investment deal flow?
  • What are the truths that investors new to this sector must know?
  • How can you best calculate the risks and rewards of a co-investment deal?
  • What are the governance issues with non-LP co-investors in a deal?

And Here Are Three R
easons Why LP & Non-LP Co-Investors
Belong at This Conference

  1. Learn how to pursue and execute attractive private equity investments without committing to a private equity fund.
  2. Find out how to identify GPs who provide these types of co-investment opportunities.
  3. Determine how you can deploy your capital more quickly and mitigate the J-curve effect associated with private equity fund commitments.
