Today, private equity firms are exploring franchise deals in more categories than ever. While restaurants have typically garnered most of the attention, other industries are increasingly presenting investors with strong concepts and unique economics.

At this encore conference from The Capital Roundtable, you'll discover how the scope of franchising is changing and why valuations continue to soar across the field. We'll be examining innovations in the quick-service, fast-casual, and fine dining arena, but also the concepts that are disrupting the marketplace such as --

  • Education franchises that focus on early learning, supplemental tutoring, and children's services
  • Health-related franchises such as fitness centers, massage therapy providers, and nutritional programs
  • Commercial and residential real estate franchises such as green cleaning, industrial maintenance, and security products

You'll hear why PE firms are succeeding with both franchisors and franchisees alike when you attend The Capital Roundtable’s ENCORE conference -- “Private Equity Investing in Franchise Companies,” being held in New York City, Thursday, January 28.

Here Are Several Reasons Why You Should Join Us

  1. Discover which disruptive ideas are already in the pipeline and how you can use them to your best advantage.
  2. Find out how to manage post-acquisition relationships that pit credentialed PE partners against hands-on managers who've risen through their system.
  3. Understand why PE firms are focusing on smaller and smaller franchise companies, and why this is not as risky as it may seem.

Register Now to Meet Jeff Brock
& More Than 20 Other Franchise Experts

Chairing the conference will be Jeff Brock, founder and managing partner at Hargett Hunter Capital Partners -- a unique investment vehicle focused on strategic equity and mezzanine capital to selected segments of the domestic food & beverage industry with an initial emphasis on restaurant opportunities in the United States.

Jeff has 18 years of debt capital markets and investment banking experience, having played a role in executing more than $3 billion of debt financing across restaurant and beverage, diversified industries, and multinational platforms.

Prior to founding Hargett Hunter Capital Partners, Jeff was partner at Morehead Capital and formerly he was director at GE Capital Franchise Finance where he held multiple roles managing some of the firm’s largest system-wide exposures.

Jeff earned an MBA with a focus on corporate finance from the Kenan-Flagler Business School in 2001 and a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University’s College of Management in 1993.

Register Now to Hear How About Which Trends Can Impact Your Investments

While it's good to have a birds-eye view of franchising, the bread and butter is in the micro trends that are heard on the street. That's exactly why this conference will have Jeff and our knowledgeable panelists answering the questions you most want to know, such as --

  • Where are valuations for franchise companies headed in the coming months?
  • How do you identify the right franchisees?
  • How do you assess the present and future value of a brand name?
  • What proposed government regulations may affect the franchise sector in 2016 -- especially in Department of Labor compliance?
  • What steps do successful franchise companies take to promote consistency across the system while satisfying their franchisees?
  • What are the most important things a firm has to get right when planning to exit an investment in the franchise space? What are realistic time horizons?
  • Which mistakes do newcomers to investing in franchise companies often make, and how can the traps and pitfalls be avoided?

Three More Reasons Why You Should Join Us

  1. Learn how unit economic performance differs by which industry vertical you're measuring -- from personal services to fast food.
  2. Realize when technology can positively impact your investment, and when it's difficult to achieve a competitive advantage.
  3. Hear what value LPs can strategically bring to franchise investments.
