Chairing the conference is John Cozzi, partner and co-head of the small business funds group of AEA Investors LP -- a leading global middle market private equity firm operating five offices on three continents, managing approximately $6 billion of invested and committed capital.

 

John joined AEA in 2004. He currently serves as a board member of Colony Hardware, Evans Delivery, Galco, and Troxell Communications. He also served on the boards of former AEA portfolio companies Implus Footcare, In the Swim, Industrial Controls Distributors, National Rehab, Phillips Pet Food & Supplies, PLZ Aeroscience, and Sextant Education.

 

Before joining AEA, John was a managing director at Arena Capital Partners, a private equity firm that invests in small companies in the consumer and business services sectors. Previously, he was a managing director in the leveraged finance group of Credit Suisse First Boston. Prior to that, he worked at Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co. and NYNEX Corp.

 

John earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA (Honors) in economics and computer science from Union College.
