The Private Equity Summer PowWow 2008
About Us
The Capital Roundtable is America’s leading conference company for the middle-market private equity community, focusing on the “need-to-know” information needs of general and limited partners, and their teams. Our programs are regularly praised as among the best-managed and best-attended in the alternative asset industry.
Founded in 1984, we are most famous for our day-and-a-half long MasterClasses on topics ranging from P.E. investing in different industries (e.g., restaurants, healthcare services, energy) -- to methods for managing back offices or generating deal flow or managing due diligence -- to best practices for investing by fundless sponsors -- to know-how for negotiating mezzanine finance, attracting institutional limited partners and family offices, or buying distressed companies – to background about trends in exit strategies or obtaining senior debt.
We call them “MasterClasses” because most of the 20 speakers we recruit for each program are themselves private equity investors, i.e., are “Masters.” Each program draws 35-70 paying attendees. We promote to our proprietary e-mail list of 70,000+ names. Over 3000 people have participated in MasterClasses since 2003.
In 2008, The Roundtable expects to produce 25 MasterClasses, plus six 90-minute noontime MasterCasts (audio webcasts), three four-hour evening MasterForums (special panels followed by cocktails with the speakers), and two multi-day conferences -- The Middle-Market Private Equity Summer PowWow, July 21-24, and The MasterProgram for Independent Private Equity Sponsors, September 16-18.
